Adolescent Survivors of Sexual Abuse Group (ages 13-16)
This is a therapeutic group for adolescent girls who are dealing with
sexual abuse. The goal of the group is to provide female victims an opportunity
to discuss the effects of abuse with other victims in a safe environment
and to help members learn constructive coping mechanisms on the road to
healing.
CA/RE Group (Collaborative Attitudes, Rewarding Experiences):
The CA/RE Group is for parents and caregivers of children who have either
been removed from their home or may be removed due to abuse or neglect
issues. This is an extremely stressful time for parents and for their
children. All participants will receive assistance in learning the skills
necessary for working with “the system”; education about the legal processes
and child welfare system, and ways to work with them; support and guidance
in communicating with Family Case Managers, the Judge, attorneys, therapists
and others; opportunities to “vent”, freedom to express your thoughts
and feelings and receive feedback on how to be able to effectively communicate
those to others involved in your case.
