Center Staff
Kay Bleyer, MA, LMHC
Kay graduated from Covenant Theological Seminary with a Masters in Counseling.
She has five years experience in a variety of counseling situations across
the life-span including depression, anxiety disorders, mental illness,
abuse, pre-marriage, crisis pregnancy, parenting issues, mid-life changes
and victims of sexual abuse. Kay works with adults, children, adolescents
and couples, and she also has interest in cross-cultural issues and adult
children of difficult families.
Hayden Haller, MS, NCC, LMHC
Hayden is the SAFTIP Program Coordinator, and works with adult and adolescent
sex offenders and their families. She received her Masters Degree in Clinical
Psychology from Southwest Missouri State University, where she subsequently
taught as a contract course faculty member. She also worked for two years
in a neuropsychological practice conducting psychological assessments.
Most recently, she assisted in developing a residential unit for juvenile
sex offenders. Prior to working in the counseling field, Hayden acted
as a lobbyist for HMOs.
LuAnn Horton, M.A.
LuAnn graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a
Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology in 1996. She has experience in
working with traumatized children and their families, as well as
experience in working with children in substitute care. She has extensive
experience in psycho-educational groups. She also provided group therapy
for adults who required sex offense specific services and for perpetrators
of family violence.
Nicole Byrum M. MFT
Nicole graduated from Abilene
Christian University with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. While
in graduate school she interned at both the Marriage and Family Institute
and at Hendrick Family Health Center. During this time she worked with a
variety of clientele including individuals and families experiencing the
following situations: anger, depression, anxiety, marital problems, grief,
pre-marital, and parenting issues. Nicole also has experience in play
therapy, clinical assessment, and marital workshops. At the Counseling
Center she works as a therapist and is also involved with HomeBuilders.
Abby Wright, MA
Abby is a graduate of Lincoln
Christian Seminary with a Masters Degree in Counseling. She received
training in Career Counseling, Crisis Intervention, Adolescent
Development, Multi-Cultural Counseling, Group Process, Family Systems,
Substance Abuse and Addictions. Her education qualifies her to work with
individuals desiring Christian principles be incorporated as a part of
their therapy. Abby has worked with adolescents for the past several
years. She primarily works with children under the age of 12 through play
therapy and is the co-facilitator of the Parents of Victims Group.
